9th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific

The 9th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific will take place from 9 – 13 August 2009 in Bali, Indonesia. The pre congress community forums will start from 6 August 2009 and will close together in the morning of 9 August 2009.

The theme of the 9th ICAAP, “Empowering People; Strengthening Networks” underscores a vision for a vibrant community of empowered people, linked by strong networks that reach across Asia and the Pacific and beyond, to mobilize a holistic and effective response which are based on the latest best practices and scientific evidence and meets the specific and cross-border challenges of the HIV pandemic faced by countries in the region today.

The congress will feature five main plenary sessions, 64 abstract-drivens sessions and and over a thousand abstract-poster presentations, 24 symposia sessions, 32 skills-building workshops, over 60 satellite meeting sessions and affiliated events, various cultural performance and informal sessions at community dialogue space sessions in the Asia Pacific Village, and seven pre congress community forums.

Register for the 9th ICAAP before 31 May 2009 through the congress website (www.icaap9.org) to benefit from our regular registration fee before the late registration charge takes effect on 1 June 2009.
