Exhibition Applications Deadline Approaches

Deadline for Exhibition Applications: 24h00 (CET) on 31 May 2009

Dear Colleague,

This email serves to remind you of the important deadlines approaching for the 5th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention (IAS 2009) - to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, 19-22 July 2009.

Late Breaker Abstracts

A small number of late breaker abstracts will be accepted, with roughly one half to be presented orally and one half presented as posters.

The percentage of abstracts selected for late breakers will depend on the number of submissions, but selection will certainly be more rigorous than for regular abstracts. The same submission rules apply for the late breaker abstracts as for the regular abstracts, but each presenting author may only present ONE late breaker abstract at the conference. The late breaker abstract submission process will close on 25 May 2009.

Exhibition Applications

IAS 2009 will offer unparalleled opportunities to both commercial and non-commercial organizations to showcase their products and services to the premier HIV/AIDS professionals in the world. With 5,000 square meters of prime exhibition space and more than 5,000 delegates expected, your organization cannot afford to miss this chance to reach so many key players in the scientific response to HIV/AIDS. Delegates will include researchers, scientists, clinicians and other health care providers.

Exhibition applications should be made though the IAS Satellite and Exhibition Tracker (ISET).

About the Conference

As the fifth conference in this series, IAS 2009 will continue its strong emphasis on basic, clinical and biomedical prevention science. For the first time, the scientific programme will include a fourth track on Operations Research. This newest track underscores the urgent need to expand research regarding the implementation of HIV treatment and prevention programmes worldwide, as well as their impact on overall health systems.

IAS 2009 is organized by the International AIDS Society (IAS) in partnership with Dira Sengwe. The last IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention, held in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, attracted 5,500 participants from over 125 countries.

IAS 2009 will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Sincerely,

IAS 2009 Conference Secretariat International AIDS Society - Geneva, Switzerland
